Highlights from October 2, 2008   Note: Today's photos courtesy of Chris Rector.     Chris Hunter was our guest host this evening, and after a few short announcements got the show underway.   Ridge Hill Bluegrass took the Pickin' Porch stage first tonight. Band members included Joe Moore (guitar), Steve Whitesell (mandolin), Randy Hudson (dobro), Gary Neill (bass) and Dion King (banjo). These guys drove all the way from South Carolina, and they sure gave the crowd a treat! Be sure and stop by next time they visit the area - they're well worth the wait! Next up was Easy Pickin's, also from the great state of South Carolina. They delighted the crowd with several Bluegrass standards and they played a few gospel numbers including the title cut from their CD "It's Me Again Lord". Band members include Daniel Hinson (guitar), Steve Henson (mandolin), Mark Meares (banjo), Jimmy Swearinger (guitar) and Peggy Swearinger (bass). Visit their website to purchase their great CD.
