Pickin' Porch February 19, 2009 Tim White opened this week's show with the Pledge to the flag and

 Smoky Ridge took the Pickin' Porch stage first tonight. They
entertained the crowd with lots of bluegrass standards. Band members
include Jeff Sharp from Butler, Tennessee on guitar, Barry Reece of
Mountain City, Tennessee playing mandolin, Quint Reece also of Mountain
City, Tennessee playing bass, Daniel Houseright from Kingsport on
guitar and Jacob Houseright, age 17 on fiddle, and Bob Mink of Butler Tennesse playing banjo.
 Next up was the Butterworth Brigade www.robbyspencer.com.
These guys treated the audience to old time tunes like "Soldiers Joy"
and "Camptown Races". Band members are Robby Spencer of Bluff City,
Tennessee, Joey Verbal, Wes Verbal and Randy Byington all of Kingsport,
Tennessee, Shawn Sturgill from Bristol, Virginia and Ryan Halsey of
Abingdon, Virginia.
